Contrary to what many people think, the role of a counsellor is not to give advice. It is a confidential space for you to take some time out of your life and whatever’s going on for you and I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment.
I will help you think about the way you look at things and the way you behave or react to situations and people. I can also help you to develop new strategies for dealing with your situation by getting to know you and help you to develop an understanding of your circumstances, listening to what you have to say, and offering support, insight and a new perspective.
I work with adults and young adults aged over 16 years old offering long-term open-ended support and short interventions for an agreed time, a place to take some time out to explore thoughts and feelings, feel supported and listened to, and understand any conflict in your life.
It is completely natural to feel a bit anxious about coming to therapy. Well done for taking the first brave step to find a therapist. It is a step towards self-discovery, increasing your awareness and making better choices for your wellbeing.
Whether you have a short-term goal or long-term issues, I welcome all enquiries as I understand it is important to find the right therapist for you.

My appointments are Mondays to Thursdays - daytime only.
You can choose to work online, face to face or a mix of the two. I practice face to face counselling in Calne, Wiltshire.
You are in control of this, and I can be flexible in the way you have them, such as face-to-face one week, then if you are unable to attend in person the following week, we can do Teams, WhatsApp or phone. Some people come for a few sessions, and some want to continue longer. It can be a single session to help you through a life event or to return to counselling with me and get support with a new life transition further down the line.
